wire-wrapped screens are made of a wire-wrapped outer jacket manufactured separately from the basepipe. The jacket is fitted over the perforated basepipe and welded to the pipe at each end to provide structural support for high mechanical loads. These screens provide more open flow area than slotted liners, increasing flow and productivity.These screens are used in stand-alone completions with well sorted formations in vertical and horizontal wells or in combination with a gravel pack completions. We have heavy duty and high flow designs. For extra protection trough side tracks or doglegs we use protective outer shrouds. For operations running sensitive tools or for internal isolation we use designs with smooth slotted base pipes.
● Wire and rod material: AISI304, AISI 304L,AISI 316, AISL316L;

● Slot width: 0.1-2.0mm;
● Wire Wrapped Screens length (m): 1.8, 3.0, 6.0, 9.0, 12.0, or more.

Features of Wire wrapped screen
1.Extra Strength: combines high strength and superior corrosion resistance for unsurpassed durability during installation or retrieval. The stainless steel wrap wire—firmly welded to every rib wire—is designed not to shift or unwind in the unlikely event should it be damaged downhole.
2. Ruitai wire wrapped screen has a much larger inlet area than conventional wire-wrapped screens. No solder strips, weld beads or lugs are present to block flow. Plus, a larger inlet area results in lower entrance velocity for produced fluids, reducing the potential for screen erosion.
3.Filter Construction
Round wires form the ribs, while the diameter and number are specified by the strength required and size of screen. Keystone-shaped wire is used for the wrap wires, which are helically wrapped around the preset vertical rib wires. Each point of contact is welded using a proprietary Halliburton procedure. Wrapping is accurately controlled—resulting in a uniform, precise gauge. The keystone shape of the wrap wire forms “V” shaped openings between wraps. This shape opening provides self-cleaning action and greatly reduces flow friction. Smaller particles can easily pass through the continuous slot while larger ones are held out without inhibiting the total inlet area.
Applications of Wire wrapped screen :
Cased- and open hole environments.
Suitable for gravel-pack and standalone operations.
Sand free production in vertical or horizontal wells.
