The material of PP Sloatted Casing is Polypropylene, and the material of PA Sloatted Casing is Nylon 6. Polypropylene is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic, translucent solid substance. It is a thermoplastic synthetic resin with excellent performance, and it is a colorless and translucent thermoplastic lightweight general-purpose plastic. It has chemical resistance, heat resistance, electrical insulation, high strength mechanical properties and good high wear resistance processing performance. The Chinese name of PA is polyamide, which is a general term for thermoplastic resins containing repeated amide groups—[NHCO]—on the main molecular chain. It has high crystallinity and obvious melting point; high surface hardness, wear resistance, small friction coefficient, self-lubrication and noise reduction. Non-toxic, odorless, non-mildew, self-extinguishing, good weather resistance, but poor dyeing. First of all, in terms of temperature resistance, PA Sloatted Casing can withstand a high temperature of 175°C for a short time, which is better than PP Sloatted Casing in terms of high temperature resistance. In terms of physical properties, polypropylene is lighter than nylon 6, and the product has a good surface gloss and is easy to color. Therefore, PP Sloatted Casing can be used if you want more choices of beautiful colors and higher weight requirements. In terms of mechanical properties, the most prominent performance of PP Sloatted Casing is its resistance to bending fatigue. Simply put, it is more appropriate to choose PP bellows for the protection of frequently moving mechanical harnesses. In terms of chemical stability, PP bellows are suitable for wire harness protection of chemical machinery, and have good anti-corrosion effect. In terms of electrical properties, PP Sloatted Casing hardly absorbs water, so the insulation performance is not affected by humidity, and it has good voltage resistance and arc resistance, but it has high static electricity and is easy to age when it contacts with copper. In terms of weather resistance, polypropylene is more sensitive to ultraviolet rays. Therefore, PA Sloatted Casing is more suitable than PP Sloatted Casing in terms of UV resistance when used outdoors. In terms of price, the cost of PP corrugated pipe is lower, and customers who are sensitive to price will give priority to it.
